Using OSINT to deanonymize a misinformation Twitter account

Artus is a graduate of the Economic Warfare School, and has worked in OSINT for almost ten years. After five years in a consultancy group, he joined Axis&Co in 2020, where he oversees OSINT activities and specializes in anti-fraud. Artus is heavily involved in the French OSINT community, he created the 317 challenge -an annual competition for government players and coordinates the OSINT club of the Economic Warfare School Association and regularly gives lectures on a variety of topics.

Artus will be delivering A real-world case study demonstrating how false narratives about the Olympic Games’ security were propagated.  Through cross-platform investigation, Artus unravels the story of how an anonymous Twitter account publishing false information about the Olympic Games was unmasked.  This presentation will explore disinformation techniques and how to de-anonymize authors of disinformation.  The case study also provides an opportunity to discuss collaboration between the private and public sectors in OSINT.
